The Aim of Scouting and Guiding is four-fold. The first is formation of character the second is formation of sound health habits; the third is training in the handicraft and acquiring useful skills and the fourth is cultivation of proper spirit of service efficiently. The pursuit of this aim leads to the development of good citizenship, among boys and girls.

The Scout and Guide students of DPS Mandla Road, are nurtured through different recreational and adventurous activities, to achieve the objective of making them physically, intellectually, socially, and spiritually sound. Scouts develop a sense of confidence, self-esteem, life skills, leadership skills, communication skills and learn team work. They are also trained with the skills to improve their lifestyle and at the same time, make them stronger and fit to survive in different challenging situations.
